Reading Scriptures

If you are reading the scriptures trying to see how they make your point of view and current beliefs correct, then you do not have “eyes to see” and will not see what they are saying. Many verses will not make sense to you. But, if you read them to see what they are saying and are willing to accept that they may and do say things that do not jive with your current beliefs or even current Church Doctrine, then you can see what they really say. Once you see what they are really saying, then you can work on determining if what they are saying is true. Until you can do this, it does not matter how much of a scriptorian you are, you will not see the truth…
