Beware of False Prophets

Introduction

This book was written to discuss a particular topic associated with the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormons.  This book is not a very good depiction of the viewpoint of the general church membership and is not intended to speak for the leadership of the church.

This book discusses in detail and in length the dictate that we “Beware of False Prophets” and the promise that “by their fruits we shall know them”.  Topics include the following concepts:  What people tend to interpret the fruit as, How these interpretations condemn the righteous and the wicked, the real or correct interpretation of “fruit”, how to recognize when you are a wolf, how to recognize when others are being wolves, and much more…

Using LDS accepted references we have shown as best we can the doctrines, interpretations and applications of these principles.

What is the goal of this book?

This book has been written with the sole intent of providing a basic and comprehensible glimpse into the doctrines associated with recognizing wolves from sheep.  It is our hope that by understanding these concepts, many of the wolves that read this book will be converted to true and humble sheep.  That others will have the change of heart through love and persuasion thereby creating a more loving world and environment in preparation for the doctrines of the millennium to be taught in peace.

Christ taught new doctrines and the people were not prepared to hear them.  If they had accepted what he taught, they would not have killed him or allowed him to die.  They would have loved him, even if he was their enemy.  They would have done good to him and blessed him even when he taught those things which opposed their own beliefs and understanding.  They would have returned to him the same peace and love that he extended to them.

But they did not, and they killed him.

It is our hope that the coming prophets who teach the doctrines of the millennium will NOT be rejected and killed in like manner but that our hearts will be softened and prepared to receive them.  To that end, we have written this book.
