GOD's required parameters are spiritual and based on the faith, desires, and faithfulness of the people. No one is held back and all are given by God directly what they have faith to receive.
It is Man that believes that it requires man to bestow the priesthood and that a linear line is required as well as a physical church. These are not God's ways to a faithful people, but to a people still growing and learning in their Faith. Those with a weaker faith need signs and tokens. Therefore, Man may attempt to place limits on God, but God is glorious and the world of God's spirit and the faith of the people is fair, just, and true.
The Church's Priesthood governs those who's faith is not sufficient. Not sufficient to be saved within the "Promise", nor in Christ, nor to behold the face of God and endure God's presence.
This is where The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is so important.
BUT... There is a greater way and blessing for those who have figured it out and have begun to live it.
