The "Symmetry" of applying opposites; Is it still true??

Quote:
Doctrine and Covenants 130:
18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.
19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.
Whatever principle of "stupidity" we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.
And if a person gains more "ignorance" and "stupidity" in this life through his "slothfulness" and "disobedience" than another, he will have so much the "disadvantage" in the world to come.

Quote:
Alma 34:
34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world.
Your "spirit" consists of what is "within." What do you spend your thoughts, (of the mind or "intellect;" QUANTITY) on: Yourself, others, things, or ideas? What are your feelings about, (of the heart in attraction or repulsion; QUALITY) in that which occupies your awareness; consciousness? Are you "positive" or are you "negative?" Be "mindful" of what you are.
