It struck me as I prepared this lesson what the Great and Spacious building really represents and how people get there.
What is the world proud of?
They are proud of celebrities.
What stands between the Tree of Life and the Great and Spacious Building?
Two things - The Filthy Waters and the Gulf of Eternal Fire
So how would someone get from the Tree of Life to the Great and Spacious Building?
They would have to leave the love of God behind, swim through the temptations of the world, and commit some sin, the most prevalent being Pride, and thus earn the support of the god of this world, Lucifer. With his support people are lifted up into that Great and Spacious Building. It is his building, and he controls it.
I thought I was going to become famous for publishing so many books. Could I be the next J.K. Rowling or the next Dean Koontz? Maybe, but only if it is the will of God. If I find myself in that position, I will need to shun anything that makes me a celebrity. I cannot enter that building, so where does that leave me? How can I get the message out I've been commanded to publish if I can't be a celebrity?
I'm really not sure right now. When I can answer this, I'll know better how to market my books.
