I have heard those statements too.

But they contradict the scriptures... For example, D&C 76 refers to "those who will come forth in the morning of the resurrection"

These are they who shall have part in the first resurrection.

These are they who shall come forth in the resurrection of the just.

These are they who are just men made perfect through Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, who wrought out this perfect atonement through the shedding of his own blood. - D&C 76:64-69

They are just men made perfect and yet haven't been resurrected but are promised that they will come forth in the resurrection. They made or may not have died yet. Those who will be "Twinkled" are those who are perfect and have not yet died and will die and be resurrected in the same moment. They are the just men made perfect while in mortal life.

Also, can you be a God without being perfect? What is then the criteria for being a Perfect God? Christ and the Holy Ghost were Gods before even being born. They were perfected as spirits. Christ retained his perfection while living a mortal life. He did not "FALL" from his perfection or Godly state.

The Holy Ghost remains Perfect as a spirit and a God. Perfection does not mean finished as in no longer progressing.

What then is required to be perfect?
