While preparing my lesson for Sunday School, I read through the experience of Elijah raising a boy from the dead. the scriptures state:
Quote:21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
I read this and thought, 'Wonderful! and example of raising someone from the dead based on a prayer of faith alone. Then I read the part of the lesson manual, and it indicated this was done by the power of the priesthood. So I ask it of you: Does this passage imply Elijah used the priesthood to raise the child from the dead, or does it imply a simple prayer of faith?
