When my grandmother passed away, I was much grieved. It was hard for me to bear and I became quite depressed during the funeral. At the time I was not as confident in my testimony of the eternal nature of the family. I attended the funeral, including the graveside service. As we were driving to the luncheon, She came and sat next to me in the car. She told me she was fine and didn't want me to worry about her anymore. She'd lived a long life and was glad to be free of her body for awhile. She had felt my grief and wanted to reassure me everything was fine.
The weight of the grief was lifted from my heart, and I was able to move on. I took from the experience a sure knowledge that life continues after death.
