?? Who is "The One" ??
Here is the story of Jesus Christ healing the Ten Lepers:

Luke 17
11 ¶And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

My insight:
When Christ asked where the nine were, Luke responded in narrative form answered for the healed man, "There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger."

Because the man returned glory to the Lord, the Lord gave him a new command which subverted the original command to "shew [himself] unto the priests."

He gave the new command to "Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

Christ recognized that this man was returning glory to his God so Christ in turn gave the new command in recognition of this man's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ: "Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."

Questions:
If you encounter God, is there any need for another man (or in this case priest) to be involved with the particular situation? Is the Lord sufficient for your needs? If the Lord tells you to go thy way, will you take him at his word or second guess by following tradition? What is more important tradition or following the Lord? Is it worth finding out what the Lord's will is in the matter? Is it worth breaking tradition at the risk of [you fill in the blank] to follow the lord? Is the Lord's word more important than the acceptance of our peers, leaders, society, oz?

Perspective:
Remember, this man, The One, had everything to gain (in the world's eyes) by showing himself to the priests - absolution from being an outcast as a leper. It's interesting to me that the scripture does not reveal what this newly healed from leprosy brother did with the new command from the Lord.
