Listen to the link below starting at 6:55 through the end.

Wayne Dyer - How to be a no limits person

We believe in obeying the laws of the land. But what if those laws aren't moral? Where do you draw the line?

What laws that govern us today are morally wrong?

Our laws are based on Natural Law. By this definition, all our laws must be in harmony with God, and so obvious that all men know what is right when they see it. If all men were righteous, there would be no need for more laws than this.

Contained within the idea of Natural Law, is the definition of 'moral' as following the principles taught to us by God. One cannot, therefore, be a moral person if one is an atheist. For someone who believes our country is founded on Natural Law, an atheist cannot take any government office, or even testify in a trial, because he is not answerable to any God.

The example of Rosa Parks shows someone disobeying a law which was immoral. No righteous impartial judge could possibly uphold that law or punish someone in any way for disobeying it. Civil disobedience to laws we KNOW to be immoral is part of our society. We must be willing to pay the consequence of our actions, but we also have a duty to disobey immoral laws. Here are a list of some immoral laws:

1. Every tax that takes money from one person to give it to another in need. Charity should never be a function of the government. Government 'charities' create a sense of entitlement, and are less efficient at proper distribution of aide than a good charity. This includes Social Security Tax, Medicare, Medicaid, Government Welfare programs, WIC, and more.

2. Emminent Domain. The power of the government to force someone to sell their property at present value so that the government can either use the land for public purposes, or sell it to someone who can 'better use the land'.

I will try to add more later.

Perhaps the question would better be asked, "Can you think of a law this is moral." So much of our lives are dictated by big brother's micro management from speed limits to building codes, from gun control laws to taking away parental rights. The list goes on and on. There are thousands of laws, federal, state and local, many contradicting each other. How can that possibly be moral? Our American governments and most of the world governments have degenerated into catering to the needs and wants of the privileged few. Laws are created to protect large businesses from their competitors. Laws are created to reward constituents of voting blocks. Laws are created to maintain control of political office by destroying political enemies through legislation. Laws are put in place to fix a particular problem and thereby they create a myriad of new problems and necessity for many new laws.
Laws that promote freedom are moral. Laws that protect the basic rights of the individual are moral. Laws that take away our freedoms and rights are immoral. Most laws today fall into the latter category. If George Washington, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry were alive today, they would be incensed at how we have been hood-winked into giving away our freedoms.

Yes, the founding fathers would have said any law which is not moral, is not constitutional.

I agree Bishop. Just because something IS legal, does not mean we should do it. And just because something is illegal, does not mean we should not under the right circumstances. What happens when it becomes illegal to pray.... it's been done before.... Sad

DO WHAT IS RIGHT.
PHEW!
You guys are spot on! Right on! I find more and more reasons to love this website every day.
I have been looked at like this crazy conspiracy theorist in many circles, because I don't believe in being lied to by the government. Folks at church look at me as being unpatriotic. Unpatriotic? Really? For digging for the Truth?! For upholding the Constitution and our rights and liberties?!? It's impossible to survive unless you play by their game. 9/11 was a scam from the beginning. One word for ya. Oil. The army has been being trained in martial law for quite some time now, and with Sandy, they got to exercise it. The laws are going to tear families apart sooner or later. I know several families in my circle right now with husbands in the army. What are they going to do when they've been brainwashed enough that they're going to be asked to open fire on anyone that opposes the government? Their own families? Will they do it? I do not believe in giving in to government propaganda. Nor will I ever. They can take me and burn me at the stake for my ideals. Our government is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
corrupt, it's not even funny. One of the biggest reasons I don't own a facebook account, twitter, own television, ISN'T SOLELY FOR MORAL REASONS, IT'S FOR LIBERTY AND FREEDOM PURPOSES AS WELL. I WILL NOT BE BRAINWASHED! I FOUGHT HARD TO HAVE A BODY AND A MIND, I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY TO SOME SCHEMING BODY OF POWER HUNGRY PEOPLE!
They want to keep us comfortable, while stealing our agency. Hasn't that been satan's plan from the beginning? They're doing a dang good job of it, and we're too far in the hole now to even realize the light went out many many years ago.
I know something big is coming.
As a church, we're not going to play the game much longer. It's getting a little ridiculous. It could potentially divide the church. "All Those who want comfort(ALL IS WELL IN ZION!), OVER HERE!" "Those who believe in being aware and having their eyes open, being driven out of warm homes and populated cities, and LIVING WITH NO FEAR, OVER THERE!!!"
I wont get too political for you guys. I have ideas that even my husband is uncomfortable with. The truth is out there, my friends. You have to dig for it. It's covered up by Big Brother, but sometimes you'll get lucky and stumble on something that logic and an honest heart cannot ignore. It's not scary, it may be shocking at first, but EYES OPEN. NO FEAR. The Lord will protect His people. I didn't try to end up on the Federal "watch" list, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. Whatever. Are they just expecting us conspiracy theorists to shrivel up? I've been through too much for that.
All is not well in Zion, my dear brothers and sisters. Christ is coming. No doubt about it. He will come, but until then, we will be on our knees praying...pleading for deliverance from the gruesome grips of evil and the world. It's going to get a lot harder. You thought the plague of pornography was bad, just wait.
Satan's not going to go down without a fight. He wants souls and he wants them BADLY. EYES OPEN, NO FEAR! WE WILL COME OUT VICTORIOUS! KEEP PRAYING, KEEP BEING CLEAN, LOVELY, VIRTUOUS, STUDY THE SCRIPTURES!

The laws may get even more terrible. But do what is right. Doing what is legal even though it may be wrong is no excuse. The Lord will try His people. Will you do what is right, even though it goes against the laws of the land? We must use our beautiful brains. Our minds and spirits innately do not want to be enslaved. Don't let it happen.

BE OF GOOD CHEER! CHRIST HAS OVERCOME ALL OF THIS AND MORE!

What is right? D&C98 Defines what is right..the Saints are to obey God first...then when it comes to the law of the land..we are to obey the law of the land which is the constitutional law of the land.Which God established by the shedding of blood...I the Lord God made you free and the law also maketh you free..In the garden of Edan we were given our agency...then Father gave us the Constitution to protect that freedom we received in the garden...we have a responsibility to maintain the freedom God has given us...living the constitution in my opinion is the way to do that..not fight..but come from a position of peace... because the law will help you maintain your claim to live under God...and when you do that you will become an enemy of the state...we are in slavery today like the children of Israel were in in the days of Moses...Their are two governments operating in America to day.... The Republic which God established in 1776..and the Democracy which Satan established in 1933 June 5th with HJR 192....That legislation set the Constitution aside and Communism took over... as the new law of the land...(I'll try to attach some supporting documents)...if you read the communist manifesto you will see our current government on display...The constitution needs to be restored..( by us Elders) This app will only upload 1 file...Google HJR 192 June 5th...Our Senators, Congressman and President sold us out be for we were born and turned us over to the Gadianton Robbers....90% of the American Saints(can't speak for the others) can't/won't see their slavery and a lot who do wont do anything about it...fear of the Gov..president Benson says that Satan has neutralized the Priest Hood...When you start living the constitution, you won't send your children to public education ( public education system is the Church of the Devils church education system)...You wont pay the income tax (the income tax is paying tithing to the church of the devil)...You wont find those philosophy's of men in God's law the constitution...look up De-facto Government in Blacks law dictionary...that's the democracy which Satan established....also look up dejur Government...that is the Republic which God established.
Come out of Babylon by living the Constitutional law of the land..( which is Zion )
